29, 30, 31 aaaand 32 weeks!

Please don't hate me!!!! I have had SO much going on friends, I just haven't been keeping up with these blog posts and I feel super bad about it! But its okay because nothing too exciting has been new with the pregnancy, so you haven't missed much! over the past month we had St Patty's day and Easter and April fools day, holy holidays! I'm not sure that April fools day counts as a holiday but man I always forget about it and I always fall for the pranks. I have had one Dr Appt since the last time we chatted, and one unplanned visit. The unplanned visit was first, I was walking out to my car to go to work and the driveway was coated in ice and I slipped and landed on my knee. The doctor wants you to report every time you fall, so I called and they wanted me to come in. So I had to go in after work and be hooked up to a monitor to see if my sweet princess was okay, and guess what? She was perfectly happy and kick-y and all those great things little babies are supposed to be in their mamma's belly! The next visit was just a check up, it took like 20 minutes and we asked if we could see an ultra sound of Lilly since we hadn't had one since our 20 week ultra sound. We wanted to try to get a good profile shot. But guess what? She didn't want to show us her face! I suppose she wants it to be a surprise, which I am perfectly fine with. :) I cant wait to hold my daughter and see her sweet face for the very first time, it is going to be so special.

I cannot believe it is April, this month is my baby shower and I am SOOO excited for it! You know what else is awesome about April? I can officially say, "My baby is due NEXT MONTH" How exciting is that?! I cannot wait people!!! :)

Well I dont think anything else is new so I will just show you the pics that I have taken over the last month!

29 weeks, Lilliana's brain is no longer smooth,
wrinkles in her brain have formed which means her brain tissue is developing,
our baby is going to be a smarty pants!

30 weeks our little girl is able to use all 5 of her senses,
although she isn't breathing now otherwise she would inhale a whole lot amniotic fluid.

31 weeks, Lilliana is doing a whole lot of kicking, punching, pedaling with her feet, summersaults, etc.
she karate chops mommy's organs, which definitely makes her a little ninja baby
this picture was inspired by and taken with her crazy Auntie Tori,
maybe someday Lilly will be just as goofy as her mommy and auntie!

32 weeks, Lilliana has fingernails, toenails and REAL HAIR!
This is fabulous news for me because I love doing hair and nails,
hopefully she will be a girly girl and let me do her hair and nails!

How far along? 32 weeks
Total weight gain: I don't want to talk about it :(
Maternity Clothes? Thats all I wear baby!
Stretch Marks? I find more on my thighs every day, also a couple on my hips!
Sleep: Not so good, really, its been very very difficult to sleep, I HAVE to have a pillow between my legs, my sciatic nerve is killing me and it feels the very worst at night. I get really uncomfortable on my sides and its really hard to roll over to alternate sides.
Best moment this week: We started going to a new church and I love it, the Easter service was this week, it was awesome and I loved it!
Miss anything? SLEEP and my body!
Movement: lots and lots of it, she is getting so big that there is not much room for her in there anymore, so when she moves I can feel it really strongly! Actually sometimes it kinda hurts, my little girl is getting really big and strong, and thats just what mommy wants!
Food Cravings: french toast, ice cubes, and pasta salad!
Anything making you queasy or sick? if I eat to fast or too much I feel sick, like I said there is not much room in my belly so I'm starting to get full really fast and when I do Lilly is crammed in there and kicks hard so I  get light headed and I feel like I'm gunna throw up or faint!
Gender: still a girl!
Labor signs: nothing yet!
Symptoms: Swollen feet, sciatica, "the waddle"
Belly Button in our out? still flat!
Happy or moody most of the time: Now I am starting to be moody! I get tired a lot and then I get kinda crabby, but I still feel like I am more happy than moody.
Looking forward to: Visiting my Grandpa in Lake City next weekend, and my baby shower the weekend after that!

Have a blessed week everyone! Thank you for stopping by to read and I am so sorry that I have been so behind!

Until next time,
<3 Me and L.G.

[28] (weeks)

So Monday, I went in for my 28 week Dr Appt to check up on the baby aaaand to get the infamous glucose test done. Seriously people, its not that bad, and I am a big whiney baby. I really don't know what people are complaining about, yes the drink is very sugary, it kinda tastes like drinking lime sno-cone syrup. The only bad part was how I felt afterward, I got a headache and felt kinda nauseous so I just laid down on the floor until my hour was up and had to go in for the blood draw. (oh yeah that wasn't very fun either, I DESPISE getting blood drawn because nobody can ever find my veins!!!) Okay so it wasn't daisies and roses, I wouldn't volunteer to do it again, but I survived and it really isn't as bad as people say it is. Maybe if I had to go in for the 3 hour test it wouldn't be so fun, you have to drink way more of the sno-cone syrup and you get hooked up to an IV have to get your blood drawn every hour for three hours. Yeah that sounds more nightmarish, and you have to take the 3 hour if you don't pass the 1 hour. Anyways I got a call back on Tuesday when I was at work, the Nurse left me a voicemail telling me to call her back so we could "discuss the results." I was kinda panicking because I was imagining having to be hooked up to an IV and have blood drawn, NO THANKS. I called her back and thankfully everything was fine besides my iron level, which was a 5. (yikes thats low!) So she recommended I take an iron supplement, which reminds me I have to go pick that up sometime while I'm still pregnant! So yay! Everything is grand and the baby is super healthy and growing growing growing like CRAZY.

Seriously people I cannot believe it is MARCH. Lilliana is going to be here before I know it! Next Month is my baby shower, which my mom, Nikki, Tori and I are planning away and getting everything organized! I am so excited, I LOVE parties and this shower is going to be so dang cute! This weekend the girls and I are working on the invites which I found on pinterest but I will mix it up a bit! Mom and I already picked up everything, they are gunna be SO CUTE! Cant wait to work on them this weekend! Well after the shower, there will only be one month til little Lilliana is in my arms! YAHOO! Its all going by so fast, I cant believe it!!

LOOK HOW BIG MY BELLY IS!!

Isn't it amazing that Lilliana is dreaming now? I just think its incredible. I wonder what she dreams about, its not like she has seen anything yet, she can open and close her eyes in the womb but I don't think she can actually see. I believe that she has peaceful dreams of her heavenly Father! My little sister Hanora thinks that she is dreaming about  meeting her and my brother Jack and about coming into the world! How precious is that? Love my little kiddos!

How far along? 28 weeks
Total weight gain: 28.7 lbs (Can't wait to be skinny again!! Sam and I are going to do P90X after Lilly is born!!)
Maternity clothes? Even those are getting tight!!! ahh!
Stretch Marks? Yes :( still not on the belly though! woohoo!
Sleep: not so great, my back has really been bugging me and also my pectoral muscle on my right side! OUCH!
Best moment this week: Getting the supplies for the baby shower invites!
Miss anything? Sleeping on my stomach (but I had a massage yesterday and laid on a pregnancy pad and I got to lay on my belly it was so weird and amazing! I wanted to stay there all day!)
Movement: She never stops! :) Best thing ever!
Food cravings: Cookies!! :)
Anything making you queasy or sick: Today I ate a lot of carrots and then I felt kinda sick afterward! Haha!
Gender: Girl!
Labor Signs: NOPE!
Symptoms: Sciatica, back pain, and having to pee ALL THE TIME.
Belly Button in or out? flat still!
Happy or Moody most of the time: This week has been a little rough, but I was reading my bible today and came across John 14:27, and it really turned me around!
Looking forward to: Making the invites this weekend!

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives. Do
not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
-John 14:27

Until next time,

27 weeks

Here we are kiddos, at 27 weeks, just 13 weeks left of the pregnancy! Yahoooo! I cant wait to meet my little love bug! My belly is getting bigger and bigger every single day, its starting to really complicate my everyday tasks but you know what? I don't really care, I love this bump so much and even more so the little peanut growing inside of it. Well you know how I said last week that I have been bugging my mom to start the quilt? Well we started it four nights ago and guess what?! ITS ALMOST DONE! All there is left to do is sew the backing on and have it professionally quilted (when they do a bunch of intricate stitching to keep the front and the back from separating.) Here is the completed front side of the quilt! AHH I JUST LOVE IT!

Isn't it just amazing?!?!?! I couldn't be happier with it! Now I cant wait to get it completely finished!
Well other than the quilt, this past week has been pretty uneventful, Sam and I did look at a couple apartments but none of them have worked out so far, but we are going to look at one tomorrow and I've got a feeling that this is the place we are going to call home! So keep us in your thoughts and prayers!

I've been trying to keep on top with these photos every week, and though it is so fun to make these posts, sometimes I just dont feel like doing it! But I pushed through and that is why you are getting this post tonight! Yay for staying ahead of the game! Tonight when I went up to take my picture I got distracted by the quilt and all of a sudden I see my stepdad, Tony, with a pillow stuffed under his shirt and he was standing with the chalkboard, poking fun at my weekly pictures. LOL. He is too funny, here is a pic of us sporting our "bumps"

As you can see on my chalkboard, this week, Lilliana can taste! In fact, she has more taste-buds right now than she will outside of the womb! So if I were to eat something spicy she would be able to taste the difference in the amniotic fluid. Yes, my little darling has quite the refined palate!

Speaking of tasting, on Monday I have to take the glucose test at my 28 week appointment and drink the infamous nasty sugary drink. I will let you all know the honest truth about it next week. But from everything I've been hearing I'm really dreading the test. Plus I cant have any sugar the whole day before I take the test!!!! My appointment isn't  until 1:15pm! AHH I DONT KNOW WHAT I WILL DO!!! haha, its probably not the worst thing in the world but man, everything has sugar in it!!! Well kidlets here is my REAL 27 week photo!

How far along? 27 weeks!
Total weight gain: I will let you know next week! (My Dr. will tell me on Monday)
Maternity clothes? Thats all this Mamma fits into!
Stretch Marks? :( boo
Sleep: UGH. my poor back!
Best moment this week: Working on the quilt with my mamma! :)
Miss anything? Seriously, just being able to sleep on my stomach!
Movement: Oh yes! My little bug is quite the mover and I LOVE IT!
Food cravings: sweets!! and also cheese and crackers! I was craving Jimmy Johns today and I gave in and it was DELISH. Sorry honey! (Sam works at Cousin's Subs... OOPS!)
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!
Gender: Girl!
Labor Signs: Nada
Symptoms: **TMI ALERT** Im going to come right out and say it, the girls are leaking!!! WHAT THE HECK?! Tonight I was wearing one of Sam's big old T Shirts and he was like "OMG LOOK, YOU RUINED MY SHIRT!" and I looked down and there was a HUMUNGOUS wet spot right where my left boob is! It leaked through the shirt I was wearing and onto Sam's shirt that he was wearing! Seriously, my body is so NUTSO! I thought all this leaky boob stuff was supposed to happen after Lilly got here but nope its starting now! Oh well, just gotta deal. Another one is, Sciatica! :( AHHH! seriously this symptom is NO fun! It hurts to walk or lift or move my left leg in any way shape or form, its also really hard to get my shoes on. :( And last but certainly not least, constipation, ugh what a pain in my butt, literally.
Belly Button in or out? Flat as a pancake! :)
Happy or Moody most of the time: Quite happy aside from the occasional random outbursts into tears! ;) I was choking back the tears today while watching the game-show, "Lets Make a Deal." Poor Sam, haha!
Looking forward to: Seeing my little brother and sister tomorrow night!!! :) I just love those kiddos, they are so amazing and man, do they ever have LOTS of questions about the baby in my belly!

I hope you all have a fabulous week!!!

Until next time,
<3 Me and L.G.

26 weeks {{6 months}} 182 days

Hello my wonderful and beautiful friends! Guess what?!? I HAVE THREE MONTHS LEFT UNTIL LILLIANA IS BORN!! Thats right! I am 6 months pregnant! It seems like just yesterday that I found out I was pregnant, and I was staring 9 months straight in the face. Sam and I have taken 6 months like a couple of champs and now we have just 3 left until we meet our precious girl. It is so surreal, I don't think it will actually sink in until I'm holding her in my arms.
Sam and I are on a hunt for an apartment right now, we are trying to get everything prepared for when she comes, her crib arrived in the mail and now I cant wait to get her room all ready! I told you last week that I would make a separate post about her nursery, I am still planning on doing this so don't you fret! We have all the fabric for her quilt and I keep bugging my mom to get started on it! Maybe this post will motivate her to start it! ;) *hint hint* love you mamma!
Well this past week I have been sick :'( boohoo!!!! I started getting sick last friday, I had a sore throat and it developed into a full on head pounding, ear aching, yellow snot blowing, coughing up green gunk, sinus infection. YUCK. I FINALLY got put on antibiotics yesterday, so hopefully I will be feeling better in a couple days! I have just had NO energy and have just felt like a heavy headed mess, but Lilliana on the other hand, has had TONS of energy and I am happy that she is feeling good! :)
On Sunday Tori and I went up to see Nikki to talk about the baby shower. Its all trucking along, slowly but surely, which is okay since the shower wont be until the end of April! We are just getting a HUGE head start! I don't think there is anything else new going on so with that I will say HAPPY FRIDAY!

How far along? 26 weeks! 6 months! 182 days!
Total weight gain: Oh goodness, I will let you know at my next Dr. Appt. I am scared to find out!
Maternity clothes? You know it!
Stretch Marks? GAHHHHHHHHHHH.... Every time I check my inner thighs gain an extra mark :'( goodbye swimming suit season for the rest of my life!!!
Sleep: Not so great this week because of being sick, its hard to breathe at night!
Best moment this week: Today while I was driving home from work the song 'Ho Hey' by the Lumineers came onto the radio and I was just listening to the chorus and crying because I was just thinking about Lilly and holding her in my arms for the first time and how she belongs with me! I started singing the song to her and she was moving and kicking and it was just a really special moment.
Miss anything? Right now, just being able to breathe out of my nose!! I'm so over being sick! I also miss my cute pre-pregnancy clothes!
Movement: lots and lots of it!! you can really see it from the outside too, my belly will have a wave of movement all across it! it looks so cool!
Food cravings: fruit!! gimme dem berries.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I was at buy buy baby with Tori and Nikki on Sunday and ran into the NoseFrida Snot Sucker! That about put me over the edge! I love my baby but I refuse to suck the snot out of her head with my mouth! If you guys didn't already know, snot had ALWAYS made me queasy, this is not just a pregnancy thing!!
Gender: girl!
Labor Signs: Nope!
Symptoms: I had a little bit of spotting last week, but it was just dried blood and I called my Dr. and she asked me a zillion questions just to make sure everything was alright with little Lilly bug and everything is just dandy! Other than that I'm having to change my pants a lot because I am sick so I keep sneezing and coughing and we all know I have a super small bladder right now, so those things do not mix well together!
Belly Button in or out? still hanging in there!
Happy or Moody most of the time: ehhh! maybe a tad moody this week since I've been sick but I think mostly I've been pretty happy!
Looking forward to: The weekend!!! One more day of work and I can just relax for a day! My body is SO needing it!

'Ho Hey' by The Lumineers

Until next time,

24/25 weeks

Okay, I am so sorry that I didn't get my 24 week post up in time, I was a little delayed. Sam and I were house sitting for my aunt so I wasn't home to make the chalkboard and take the picture! So thank you for being patient and waiting til now! Lets see here, my belly is flipping humungous!!! Seriously, I look like I could give birth any minute and I still have a little over three months left!! ahhhh! Last night I had to go through my closet again and put away the rest of my pre-pregnancy clothing. NOTHING fits me anymore, I cannot get away with oversized flowy shirts.. unless they are Sam's T-Shirts, which I normally wear to bed now! I will say that Old Navy has been my saving grace, their maternity clothes are amazing and fit SO well and make a pregnant lady feel so purty, and let me tell you, that is not an easy feat! Speaking of clothes, I have been accumulating loads and loads of clothes for Lilly, it seems like her wardrobe is expanding while mine is quickly depleting! I am so blessed that I have wonderful people buying beautiful outfits for Lilly or giving me fabulous hand me downs, hey people, nothing wrong with hand me downs, I LOVE them! I wish I could show you all the cute things she has, looking at all of it makes me so excited for her to get here. The only downside, I am running out of places to put all of her stuff, and we haven't even had her baby shower yet! The baby shower planning is in its beginning stages and my two BFF's and I are having lots of fun 'pinning' all of our ideas, I have the colors picked out and I am SO excited, especially for the food! Only a pregnant lady.. or a man.. LOL. Well kiddos, as Lilliana's arrival draws nearer I have also begun to plan Lilliana's nursery. I have her crib currently being shipped, and her changing table and a sweet armoire picked out.  My amazing mother is making Lilliana's bedding and we have all the fabric for that picked out, now its just a matter of making it. I will definitely make another blog post solely on her nursery, I am so excited to show you all everything we have picked out! Well getting back onto topic, here are my 24 and 25 week pics!

23 weeeeeeeeeee-ks!

Hello my dear wonderful fabulous friends! I'm sorry I am a little behind with the posty posts. This lady has been a busy gal, although I cant exactly remember what I've been busy with.. Thank you mushy pregger brain!!!! Well I told you in my previous posts that my BFF Nikki was coming down for her birthday celebration and so we could talk baby shower, but she only got to stay for one night because we had a dumb stupid ice storm!!! Although it was a short trip it was very fun and we did get some celebrating in and also some baby shower talk, and she even got to feel Lilliana kick! Lilly is not very shy, she is always kicking and you would probably feel her kick if your hand somehow stumbled upon my mountainous belly. MY BELLY IS GETTING SO BIG! Have a looksie!

Sleep: Really uncomfortable!!! UGH! My doctor recommended vitamin B6 to help me sleep, but when I looked on the bottle it said "not intended for pregnant or nursing women," not sure if my Doctor was wrong (which I highly doubt) but I'm paranoid and refuse to take them, so there.
Best moment this week: Nikki getting to feel Lilliana kick! Its so special to share that with the people that love her so much!
Miss anything? back and stomach sleeping, now I cant even sleep on my back!! WHAAAAT? It can cut off oxygen and blood to the baby, scary...
Movement: oh tons and tons! she never stops moving, I love it!! ..now

Happy or Moody most of the time: happy girl!
Looking forward to: my day off tomorrow! wahoooooo! I think I'm gunna get my hair cut!!!!!! FINALLY!

Until next time,

[22] weeks!

Okay people, here it is, whenever I wasn't pregnant and I heard pregnant women say they felt fat and ugly I would get upset because I think pregnant women are so beautiful and have such a wonderful purpose, carrying and growing a precious life in their belly.. well now that I am pregnant.. I am flippin' trashin' that beautiful speech!!!!  I am so right along with those women!!! I understand that I have to gain weight right now because I'm two in one package, but man my face and my arms are getting chubby and I absolutely hate it. I honestly feel so insecure about taking my weekly pictures because I look so heavy. This post has taken me a little longer to post because I had a complete meltdown! I took the pictures on Monday and I thought I looked so fat that I marched myself down to my room flopped myself onto the bed and baaaaaaawled my eyes out of my head! Sam came to my rescue and hugged me and assured me that I was beautiful and carrying his beautiful baby and all that sweet stuff. Poor guy! He has probably had to deal with more random spurts of crying than he's ever imagined possible. Anyways I didn't use any of those pictures and didn't take another picture until last night, so here it is. I still really dont like it but you know what?! I am going to try to embrace my new-gained chubs and try to remember the beautiful speech my 'not yet pregnant' self made to those beautiful pregnant women!

Choosing to wear my bump PROUD!

How far along? 22 weeks
Total weight gain: at least 4 m&m McFlurry's worth....
Maternity clothes? YEP. Almost only maternity, I need to go shopping, those flowy shirts I was talking about last week... yeah.. not cuttin it.
Stretch Marks? on the girls and the thighs. :/ bummer dude.
Sleep: Ehh. My back hurts a lot and I find myself waking up a lot, I miss stomach sleeping!!!
Best moment this week: My mom got to feel Lilliana kick, that was pretty special!
Miss anything? Just being able to sleep on my stomach and paint my toes without cutting off my air supply.
Movement: She is starting to be really really active! She was moving and squirming all morning! It is really cool because this morning Sam was talking to her and as soon as he would talk she would start moving. She definitely knows her daddy's voice!
Food cravings: m&m or oreo McFlurrys', Pizza, and fruit!
Anything making you queasy or sick: No Sir!

21 weeks

hello my fabulous friends and followers!! I hope you have had a wonderful week! I definitely have, though I am EXHAUSTED! Yesterday one of my BFF's and I got together and we made a huge dinner for my family, just for fun! it was great! We actually made the same dinner I made for Sam for his birthday except we tweaked the recipes a bit and it was wayyyy better last night! Anyways, since I post (or try to post) every week there really isn't a whole lot to talk about every single week so I am going to start posting a little update that I found on my favorite blog to copy (www.littlebabygarvin.blogspot.com) this mom had the cutest weekly blog updates! So here it goes!

How far along? 21 weeks

Maternity clothes? yes, maternity pants, shirts (my fave maternity clothes from Old Navy) and I can still get away  with cute flowy/oversized shirts from any store!
Stretch Marks? YES.. on the girls.. :'(
Sleep: its been alright, my sides are getting annoying to sleep on my back, shoulders, and neck have been hurting a lot so its hard to get comfortable. Oh and I wake up about 5 times in the night to pee!
Best moment this week: Lilliana kicked or punched me with all of her tiny little strength! It was the most amazing thing I have ever felt!
Miss anything? Sleeping on my stomach and being able to bend over to pick up things that I drop. I drop everything these days too, so not cool.
Movement: Yes! Still cant feel her from the outside yet, but Sam says she is going to be a great soccer player! **update** **WE CAN FEEL HER FROM THE OUTSIDE!!! Sam felt her kicking tonight!!! :)**

Happy or Moody most of the time: Pretty dang happy, though I do have my moments. I may have snapped at Sam for opening the oven door while my cheesecake was cooling (it got a huge crack in it,) but hey its just a cheesecake and I felt really bad after I had my moment.
Looking forward to: Next weekend!!! My BFF Nikki is coming down from the cities so we can celebrate her b-day and start talking baby shower! :)

Until next time,

18, 19 & 20 weeks. [[oopsies]]

hello my beautiful friends, I am so so sorry that I have been a little blog slacker. I got busy with Christmas and New Years and I didn't make the time to blog or even post the bump pics!!!! I'm horrible I know! Anywaysssss. My Christmas and New Years was fabulous and I hope that all of you had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! For Christmas Eve the whole fam bam came over to my mamma's house to celebrate including my brother Nic (who currently lives in Phoenix,) my BFF Nikki and her boyfriend Joel! So we had a few guests of honor! :) Mom usually cooks a big ole' Christmas dinner but this year, since we sort of have a new family (my stepdad and my boyfriend and my unborn little pumpkin) we decided to start a new tradition and we got Chinese take-out! Hahaha it reminds me of the movie 'A Christmas Story' where the family goes and eats Chinese on Christmas because the neighbors dogs destroyed their Christmas turkey! The food was fabulous and it was such a fun new tradition! Then we all exchanged gifts and let me tell you I think Lilliana got more gifts than anyone, and she isn't even born yet! I can tell our little girl is going to be SPOILED just NOT rotten! :)

At Christmas I was 18 weeks pregnant and miss Lilliana started to move a TON by that week, what a fabulous Christmas gift! :) Feeling your baby move is the most incredible feeling and there is really no way to describe it besides to say that it just feels like strong flutters inside your belly, below your stomach!  By 18 weeks I really started showing!

18 weeks, we have a kicker!

Our New Years was really good too, the fabulous thing was that I got a 3 day weekend from work two weeks in a row, Christmas weekend, and New Years because Christmas Day and New Years Day both fell on a Tuesday! (My work is always closed Sundays and Mondays) So I had Sunday Monday and Tuesday off two weeks in a row!!!!! I loved having that extra time but man I sure kept busy and didn't get that much done! Well New Years Eve is kinda crazy in my world because not only is it a fabulous holiday but it is also Sam's birthday!!! So New Years Eve I cooked ALLLL day to make a special meal for my man! I made Penne Rosa with Parmesan Crusted Chicken, Garlic Breadsticks, and for dessert NY Cheesecake with the choice of Cherry or Strawberry topping.  It was SO delicious and I was very proud of myself! I also broke open the Sparkling grape juice in place of the champagne in celebration of the coming New Year! ;) I might have gained a few pounds over the holiday season, not sure if its the baby or how much food I ate, or maybe a combo of both!

Sam's home-made birthday dinner! YAY ME!

sweet potato baby! :)

Okay so right now I am 20 weeks! I am at the halfway point in my pregnancy, 20 more weeks to go, give or take a couple! I went in for my 20 week Dr Appt. today. Unfortunately I had to switch Doctors because the Dr. I was seeing only comes in on Wednesdays and I can only go in on Mondays, so I had a new Dr today, but guess what?! I love her even more than my other Doctor, so its not really that unfortunate after all! :) Today Sam had to work so my Mom and my Stepdad came with me to my appt. We were expecting to do the 20 week ultrasound where you find out the gender and all that (which we already know thanks to Enlightened 4D Imaging!!!!) but my Stepdad really wanted to see the baby and the clinic needs to look at the baby to see if everything looks normal and healthy, aaaand I just wanted the clinic to confirm that we were for certain having a girl since the development between 16 and 20 weeks is astounding! (Each week is comparable to 1 year of growth, INCREDIBLE!) Sooo anyways thats what we were expecting, weeeeellll apparently the "anatomy ultrasound," as they call it at the clinic, is a huge deal and you have to schedule it as a separate appointment and its pretty solidly booked out. oopsies. My Dr told us not to hold our breath and that we would probably have to wait a couple weeks to get in, well guess what we should've held our breaths because there was an opening for later that day! So at 2:45pm we trekked back into the clinic to get our ultrasound! (My Stepdad, Tony, didn't end up getting to see the baby because he had to be back at work :/ but Mom and I made it up for round 2!) We got into the room and our ultrasound tech was a little rude (bummer) but it was still really cool to see baby again. At the beginning of the ultrasound the tech said she calls all the babies a 'he' while she's going through the ultrasound. Okay so at this point I'm psyching myself out a little bit because I'm like "What if its a boy?! We've already bought things for a girl! I would love a boy, but we already bought stuff for a girl!! Did I mention that we already have 2 boxes full of baby girl stuff?!!?" So meanwhile I am enjoying the ultrasound but am super nervous to get to the end so she could tell me I was having a girl. But we did get some awesome shots of baby and her profile and we even saw her open her mouth, I think she must have been swallowing. It was just incredible! The tech did confirm that baby is a GIRL, and I was relieved for the sake of my two bins FULL of girl stuff, my bump pics, and the beautiful name we have picked out, oh and also all the girl stuff we have... did I say that yet? ;)

Lilly, with her mouth open!

my baby girl's beautiful profile!

Anyways, we are so excited for our precious girl Lilliana Grace to get here!!! HALFWAY THERE!!!!! :)

HALFWAY! YAHOO!

the {GREAT} name :|REVEAL|:

Last week was a big week, we found out that our precious baby is a girl! This week, is just as important and exciting, we have chosen a name for our baby girl! Names are incredible things, they usually describe the person you are, many times your name is the very first thing somebody knows about you, maybe even before they meet you. I love names, I think they are beautiful and I was bound and determined to give my baby a beautiful unique name that they would love. Growing up, my friends and I always shared all the names we picked out that we wanted to name our children someday, I think I had some pretty silly names picked out over the years, but I remember how much I loved coming up with different names for boys and girls. But man, when I found out I was pregnant that was one of the first things we talked about, names. Naming a someday baby and naming your baby that is actually going to be born in a few months is so much different, so much more difficult especially when you have to come to an agreement on a name with your significant other! I had names that I loved but Sam didn't like them, and Sam had names that he loved and I didn't like them. We had a really hard time agreeing, especially on boys names.

Like I said in my last post I had a feeling we were going to have a girl the whole time, my mom and Sam's mom had the same instinct. But even before we found out the gender of the baby something crazy happened. Sam and I were dog sitting for my Aunt and we were hanging out my phone buzzed like I got a text message and at the same time Sam came to me and said how about the name "Lilliana Grace" and I said that I loved it so much. Sam's mom's name is Lillian, and she is an amazing woman! I thought it was perfect! Well Sam went about doing his thing again (Remember how I said I got a text,) I checked my phone and I had gotten a text from my mom and it said "Lilliana Grace" I SWEAR ON MY ENTIRE LIFE PEOPLE THIS IS NOT A JOKE. I talked to both of them and neither of them had spoken to each other! They picked, out of the millions of names in the world, the exact first and middle name. I felt like it was fate. But, like I said this was before we knew the gender so if it was a boy we were just out of luck. We only agreed on one boy name, Noah. and I wasn't too super crazy about it. Not like I was Lilliana Grace, it was just too perfect.

So when we found out on Thursday that the baby was a girl, I knew her name had to be Lilliana Grace. We still had to officially decide and I was already calling her Lilly and talking to her using that name, so Sam told me that I had to make it official. So here I am, making it official. Our beautiful daughter is going to be named Lilliana Grace Diaz, after her beautiful grandma Lillian. I could only pray that she would be just as wonderful, beautiful, kind, humble, and caring as her grandma. Sam and I agreed that it is the perfect name to describe our baby girl. So cheers, to choosing a name!

Lilliana Grace Diaz

Giraffe necks! haha trying to reach over the board!

sugar & spice {{16 weeks}}

Friends I am SO sorry that it has taken me a week to post! I have been extremely busy this past week and I honestly didn't feel like sitting down and blogging!!!! But now I am going to tell you all the story of finding out Baby D's gender!

So right when I found out I was pregnant my wonderful friend Jenna told me about this place in the cities called Enlightened 4D Imaging, its an AMAZING ultra sound clinic where they do fabulous 2D 3D 4D ultrasounds, you name it AAAAND they can tell you the gender of your baby at 16 weeks (at my Dr. you have to wait til you're 20 weeks!) and of course since I am impatient I could not wait and booked my appointment very very very far in advance!!!  (here's the link for those who are interested in the clinic, http://www.enlightened4dimaging.com/)

Our appointment was last Thursday morning, the night before Sammy flew in from Puerto Rico (where he was visiting his beautiful family,) so me and mom and Sam stayed in the cities that night and my best friend Nikki met us at the hotel the next morning so we could all go to the ultrasound! The morning felt like it just dragged on, I could not wait to get to the clinic and find out what we were having! We finally got to the clinic which was literally .5 miles from our hotel, it took all of 2 minutes to get there, and needless to say we were SUPER early! Let me just take a second to give a shout out to this clinic, seriously, the BEST customer service I have ever had. They gave Sam and I a diaper bag, a cooler to keep milk cold, 2 containers of formula, a bunch of formula in bottles, a bottle, a bunch of coupons and more that I cant even think of right now. The receptionist, Bonnie, was so sweet and welcoming, and our Ultrasound tech was fabulous. He knew what he was talking about, he was hilarious and he made everyone feel really comfortable. I love this place and I will definitely go back!!!

Anyways, when we got there Nikki took little video clips of everyone talking to the baby and saying what our gender predictions were. I am really excited to see those videos and I am really glad that we are doing little things during this pregnancy that we can look back on and smile and have something to show for it. The ultra sound tech got there and led us back to the room. It was a huge room with couches and a big projection screen that we would see the ultrasound on. Everyone got all situated, I got the blue goo on my belly and we began the ultrasound. Right away you could see baby up on the screen heart beating super strong, the tech was moving the wand all over my belly trying to get different shots of baby. Well, baby wasn't budging, and I'm thinking, OH GREAT the baby's gunna be stubborn again! After a couple of minutes of me flipping on my side and upside down and doing backflips.... (okay maybe not the last two...) he showed us how the baby was sitting in a pocket in my uterus (that sounds really weird and gross!) and she was all comfy and didn't want to move. Wellll then he gets up and asks me if I like chocolate and I'm like DUH! I'm pregnant and I am a woman of course I like chocolate! So he disappears and comes back with a Lindor Truffle. Within 1 minute the baby's heart rate went up and the baby started kicking and flipping and moved to the complete opposite side of my uterus! It was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced, he showed us all the fingers and toes and legs and arms and heart and spine and explained all these different facts to us. I couldn't look away from that screen, before my eyes was the most amazing little human being, moving and kicking and raising its arms, and this little human was mine, with my DNA inside it's little body. It was so SURREAL.

All cozy in the pocket!

The tech almost right off the bat had an idea of what the gender was, he kept saying that his prediction was very consistant with what he was seeing, and of course we were all dying to know!! Its so funny because before the ultrasound my mom thought the baby was going to be a girl and then she said she had a dream it was going to be a boy and then the whole ultra sound mom kept calling the baby a "he," I kept saying "OR SHE," I had a feeling the whole time that it was a girl. Finally the tech said, "okay guys, you want to know what you're having?!" and of course by this point my mom and Nikki are pretty much a foot from the screen eyes and video cameras glued to it! He went through showing us what we were looking at and talking about what these parts of the body were and what they were doing and then he said, "So that means, GIRL!" My jaw literally dropped, my mouth was wide open for 5 minutes, I was laughing and crying and these emotions just flooded over me of complete joy and peace.  I was having a baby girl, I knew it all along, but that very moment just confirmed everything. It was one of the most precious moments of my life.

Its a GIRL!

As soon as we got out of there all of us called about every person we could think of to tell them the news! Of course me, mom and Nikki were THRILLED because that meant fun girly baby clothes shopping!!!!! So after the ultra sound, thats exactly what we did, poor Sam..... He was so good though, what a guy, spending the day with.. now FOUR girls!! ;)

Well, this is a long post but thank you for sticking with me and reading, and motivating me to get this up before she is born! ;) haha! Love you all so much!

Is Baby "D" a [[boy]] or {{girl}}?!

Hey guess what?!? I'm 15 weeks already people! That means 1 more week until we find out the baby's sex!! Next thursday I have the gender determination ultra sound and I can't even hardly wait one little bit! So last week my sweet boyfriend left for Puerto Rico to surprise his mamma! How sweet?! So I've been without him for a week, which is nothing compared to what we have done in the past. He is from Puerto Rico so we did long distance for a little over a year! He will be gone for one more week, so a total of 2 weeks we will be apart, and I really miss him! Plus I feel like my belly has grown a lot since I last saw him and I think it will be even bigger by the time he gets home! But he gets home the night before the ultra sound! What a wonderful way to bring in his home-coming!!

Since I update every week I feel like I don't have a whole super lot to talk about, but since we have our gender determination I feel like I should stay true to that subject. I'm sure you are all wondering if I want a boy or a girl, and the truth is, It honestly doesn't matter to me as long as my baby is healthy. Mine and Sam's Mom have a gut feeling its a girl, so I have gotten very used to that idea. Mom and I look at girl baby clothes and nurseries online, so I suppose I'm slightly leaning towards a girl because I want to dress her super cute! But I would love having a boy just as well (even though they definitely don't make as cute of boy clothes as they do girls!) My mom already bought the baby a hot pink ruffly diaper cover and a bunch of headbands that we are going to glue big huge bows and flowers on. So we will see, obviously my mom is certain! haha!

Lately I have been craving mexican food, and really anything spicy. The other night My BFF Tori and I went to a Mexican restaraunt and I ordered a chicken burrito with spicy green sauce and when it arrived I about had a heart attack by just looking at it, I promise you it was the size of my forearm! It was HUMUNGOUS and DELISH. I love flamin' hot cheetos, and I have a hankering for ramen noodles doused with sriracha sauce and lime juice. YUM. Oh and Mom and I have been baking so I've been eating lots of ginger snaps (I think we might have to make a triple batch this year!)

Like I said last week, I LOVE CHRISTMAS, and one of my favorite things to do is decorate the Christmas tree. Well We decorated the tree two weekends ago, and this year we had a stubborn tree, the branches were flimsy and you couldn't hang ornaments without the branch bowing, so it was really droopy. My stepdad so sweetly (God Bless his heart) picked out the Christmas lights this year and put them on the tree. But the lights he picked out were the huge bulbed bright LED lights that you need sunglasses on to look at them. Mom and I always pick out the mini soft colored lights that look so magical and twinkly, we tried to suck it up and adjust our feelings and eyes to the new lights. So we just continued to decorate the tree. The next day mom called me and told me to get ready because Tony (my stepdad) had class, and we were going to redecorate the tree with our lights because she hated the LED lights. So that night we went to home depot and got our lights, went to target and got tinsel, went home and took off all the ornaments and lights and completely redecorated the tree, the smaller lights seemed to help not weigh the branches down as much, but it was still hard to hang ornaments because of all the drooping branches, but we covered the tree in tinsel so you couldn't even tell. The tree looked BEAUTIFUL, you could actually look at it without going blind (before, it was like staring into the sun.....I may be slightly exaggerating.....) it twinkled and glimmered, and the tinsel absolutely made it! Finally we had a beautiful tree. Well the next day, I called mom when I got off of work, and she began to inform me that when she got home the tree was scattered all over the floor. It had fallen in the day and the trunk had a huge gouge and wouldn't stand back up in the base. It kept falling over. So my mom went out and got a brand new tree and we had to redecorate it all over again, for the THIRD time. Needless to say, my tree decorating tank has been filled 2 times over so I will be okay for a couple years.... So there it is, The Great Tree Disaster of 2012.

Well folks, I LOVE MY JOB SO MUCH! Lasata is amazing, I love every single person I work with and I feel so blessed to be there. I told my boss I was pregnant last week, and I was really scared about what she would say because I didn't want her to think I was trying to trick her, and I didn't want her to be mad for me not saying it right up front. And I was even more scared because every day I was finding out about a new pregnant person in the salon! I am the 4th pregnant person there, and we are all a month apart. I for sure thought that I was in some deep trouble. Though I was extremely nervous I braved it and told my boss. She was SO good about it! Everyone has been so amazing and supportive, and welcoming and nobody has given me any trouble for being pregnant. I LOVE IT. I am being trained in nails right now so if you're in town stop in and I'll give you a fabulous mani pedi!

Anyways, I am really happy, so many good things are happening right now, and I cant wait to find out what gender our sweet baby is! So here is the belly pic this week to tie you over. My blog post next week (to announce the gender) will be on Thursday night the 13th or Friday night the 14th. So be looking out for that! :)

{14} WEEKS :)

HELLOOOOOOO FRIENDS!!!
I am so very proud to announce that I am officially in the SECOND trimester! :) No more nausea no more a teensy bit of fatigue, and thats really the only difference. Now I have new symptoms, and they aren't pretty! I'm always plugged up, if you know what I mean, aaaand I guess little peanut is sitting right on my bladder because if I sneeze or cough or exert to much body force, I pee just a little. What the heck is happening to my body!? I feel like an old grandma who needs to eat a thousand prunes and wear Depends. But despite all of this weirdo stuff thats happening to me I am so overjoyed that sooner than I think I will have my precious baby in my arms!

I started my new job at Lasata Salon and Spa on Monday, and it is amazing! I am so blessed! Absolutely everyone that I have met so far is so wonderful and friendly and I am so excited to meet all the girls and get to know each and every one of them! Today was my second day and let me tell you, I have a serious case of pregnancy brain. I don't know if any of you have heard of pregnancy brain, but the theory is that your brain turns to mush during pregnancy and is almost completely useless to you. I can never find ANYTHING, and I forget or mix up EVERYTHING. So needless to say, pregnancy makes you a total airhead. Well yesterday my wonderful boss wrote down a schedule for me for the next two weeks. I entered it all into the calendar on my phone, memorized my schedule, and kept the piece of paper in my purse just in case. Well last night I went to bed at 12:00 am because I didn't have to work until 11:00 am. Well I forgot to set my alarm clock and I got a call from my boyfriend at 10:00 am! THANK YOU LORD. It was a close call. So I got ready really quick because I wanted to be to work early, I got to work about 10:55 am and walked to the back to meet with my boss. I put my coat away, Im feeling good, I'm early for work, I say hello to my boss, and she says "Oh you're here! I had you down to work at 10 this morning, but maybe I told you 11." My heart sank PLUMMETED into my stomach. I said, "Yeah, I think you told me 11!" (I pulled out the piece of paper with the schedule that was in my purse...... it said 10:00 am) UGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I felt so bad and I apologized a million times, but everyone ended up just laughing about it, (thank goodness for me!) So what happened is that I got today (Tuesday) and Wednesday's schedules all flipped around! So tomorrow I'm going in an hour early to make up for lost time! ;)

Well, Mom and I are getting ready for Christmas! Oh my word Christmas is my most favorite holiday! I love everything about it, the movies, the music, the treats, the joy, the spirituality, and the magic of it all. Oh and I love to drag it out as long as possible, so even before the thanksgiving turkey is set on the table, mom and I already have half the house decorated! (I may be exaggerating just a tad.) But over the next few weeks mom and I are going to be doing a TON of Christmas baking! I will be attending a Christmas concert with "the girls" (my Mom, my Aunt Robin, and my BFF Nikki.) We do an annual girls baking weekend, where we buy matching pajamas and bake Christmas goodies until our fingers bleed green and red.

I don't think I can think of anything else new going on with us, Sammy is doing really well, I am doing really well, and baby is doing really well! No new cravings this week besides the fact that I want Christmas dinner already. but HEY in just 16 days we get to find out the gender of baby Diaz! I CANNOT WAIT! Anyways, here is the 14 week pic! Have a blessed week everyone! I hope your Thanksgiving last week was fabulous, I know mine was (I ate so much, and it was SO good.)  Oh and p.s. I have a VISIBLE bump now!!!!!!! yay!

14 weeks, we have a lemon baby!!!!

Until next time

13 Weeks!

Oh my word! 13 weeks! This post wont be as exciting as normal because nothing that spectacular happened besides BREAKING DAWN PART 2 COMING OUT!!!!! :)

My BFF Nikki and I went to BDP2 on Friday evening, it was so good, and when it was over I bawled like a baby, I literally hid my face into my purse trying to muffle my hysterical cries, I kept saying crying "It's over!" Then I went to the movie again the next day with my wonderful man, and of course cried again. I seriously want to cry just thinking about it now, those closing credits were beautiful!!! (WHO AM I?! I've turned into such a sap!) Needless to say I loved the book series, I loved the movies, and I'm just devastated that "its over!" waaaahhhh! ;) oh pregnancy does wonderful things to your hormone levels!

This week I was super duper craving gyros from (drumroll please) the ever fabulous, Nupa! You're not supposed to have lamb and veal and all those baby immature animal meats (it sounds better when I say it like that.) But I asked my doctor and she said that I could give into my desire, as long as it was in moderation! So yesterday I went to Nupa with my other BFF Tori and stuffed myself (with what room I have left in my abdominal cavity) with a delish Gyro and some Lemon Chicken and Rice soup! YUM-O! Other than that I still just want pasta all the time, and fresh fruit and veggies! Nothing else is really floatin my boat! But I did have some egg drop soup today for lunch and it was AMAZING. Seriously I could've eaten 3 cups of it, it was such an unexpected tasty surprise!

Okay so before I forget I have to tell you all the story of how I told my 5 and 6 year old brother and sister that they were going to have a niece or nephew! So I took Hanora (6) and Jack (5) trick or treating on Halloween. We were all dressed up.... well they were dressed up and I just wore odds and ends pieces of Jack's costume. Jack was a pirate (who got mistaken for a pilgrim at almost every house because he refused to wear the hat, eyepatch, clip on earring, and wouldn't carry the sword! What 5 year old BOY wouldnt want to carry a sword?!) and Hanora was a "she" devil (she picked out the costume solely based on the wand that came with.) As you might already have caught on, my brother and sister are two funny little kids! So after we got done trick or treating we went back to my house and  they counted their candy and sorted it out into groups and all that stuff that kids do when they are looking over their treasured items of the night. I figured, this would be a good time to tell the kids about the baby! So we were sitting down and I said, "hey guys guess what?" it took me about 5 minutes to steal their Hanora's attention from the candy and 'It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.' (I couldn't manage to capture Jack's attention.) So I said to Hanora, "You're going to be an auntie!!" and she was just kinda confused, so I explained that I was going to have a baby and she was going to be the baby's auntie just like how she has an auntie and blah blah blah. She got wide eyed and a big smile peeled across her face, she said "I'm going to hold the baby all the time! I'm going to be an auntie even though I'm still little!" She was thrilled, I was happy, I'm thinking to myself, "This is going great! Now I'm going to tell Jack!!" So finally, when Jack was all done counting his 80 pieces of candy, I began to break the news to him, I said, "Hey Jack, I'm having a baby, and you are going to be an uncle, like your uncle Tim." He just looked away and had a really bummed out look on his face, then he looked back at me and said, "But I don't want to have a beard." OH MY GOSH PEOPLE! I could not stop laughing. Okay so when I said he was going to "be like Uncle Tim" he thought I meant that he was literally going to be like him, a grown adult with a beard. I suppose I should be a little more clear when talking to a 5 year old. Anyways I thought that was hilarious, my brother and sister are amazing and I would be the luckiest mom in the world to be blessed with a child as wonderful, brilliant, hilarious, and beautiful as they are.

Halloween Fun!!! Just before trick or treating!

Speaking of Holidays, Thanksgiving is this Thursday and let me tell you my mother goes to town on all the food she makes. It is my favorite meal of the year and I cant wait to stuff myself like a Thanksgiving turkey! Also, let us me not forget the spirit of the most important thing, Thankfulness. I am thankful for so many things this year, my family, my friends, my amazing boyfriend, our baby, the wonderful support we have from everyone, a working car, good health, the wonderful country we live in, and..... my new job at Lasata Salon and Spa! YAHOO! I just went in for my second interview today and they hired me right before I left! Not sure when I start yet, they've got to make a schedule for me and I have to go in and sign some papers and la-de-da, but anyways, I have a ton to be thankful for.

So I will wrap this puppy up with my 13 week bump picture. This week the baby is the size of a peach! Oh yum! Seriously who thought of comparing your unborn child to food?! We are pregnant women, not a fabulous idea to tell us that our baby is a peach or a plum or any other delicious treat! Im obviously food obsessed so just ignore me and look at my adorable chalkboard and baby bump!

The chalkboard, me and the conspicuous "bump" extra chub.

Until next week!
